This site has been long in planning and I am so happy to have you join me on this journey that we share called parenting. The site is for the parent who chooses to be excellent in all that they do. I will be your partner in parenting. I will help you acheive your goals.

I am a parent mentor and coach located in Southern California where I was born and raised in a family of eleven children. As a young child, I was always "mothering" as many children as I could. I began as a full time Nanny at the ripe old age of 14 during summer vacation. Sweet Suzy was just an infant and I had her everyday from 8:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon. Looking back, it is hard to believe that parents would entrust their wee one to such a young girl! But I loved that baby. Fussed over her and enjoyed every minute! As a Freshman in college, I again became a full time nanny to sweet Katie. The first love of my life! I adored her! From Katie came many, many children over the years in various stages of age and development.

I married young, and desperately wanted a baby of my own. Over seven years time, I continued to work full time in the airline industry and nanny part-time whenever I could. After six miscarriages, the miracle of my life was born. Ariana! How could I be so lucky? I truly felt as if I had won the lottery. One year later, Alexandra arrived. Blessed twice! With my own two, I still continued with part-time nanny duty taking my two with me. The more the merrier! Of course I was very young at the time! In addition, I was a Caterer, floral designer, and wedding planner. It wasn't long before a series of unfortunate events crushed what I thought to be a perfect life. Just a month before Alexandra was born, I was involved in a terrible collision with a Mack Truck. My shoulder was badly damamged and took five long years to repair. Two years after Alexandra, our precious Stephanie came along. She did not survive past her first day (read her story for more details), and my heart was crushed into a million pieces. Long story short and four years later, Sabrina arrived, followed exactly one year and one week later by Steven! Our family was complete.

Along the way, folks marveled at my calm parenting demeanor. Friends and family pleaded with me to teach others. I was baffled, as it all felt so natural! It wasn't until my children started school and I matured that I realized that what was easy and natural for me, was not so for others. I took training classes to see what the "experts" were saying, and I was dismayed at what I found. Most of the "experts" were men! What did they know about "birthin babies"? So with my own knowledge in hand, many parenting books on the shelf, and good ole' fashioned advice from moms who had been there, I wrote a book titled "The Fine Art of Parenting".
Now married 22 years, I finally feel I have the life experience to help other parents just like you!

On this site, I will take you with me as I share parenting wisdom. I will talk about divorce, death, school, second marriages, family culture, discipline, living with teens, and much more. I will support you in your decisions as a parent, and I will teach you to be secure in your methodology. It is my goal to see each and every parent enjoy their children as much as I do. I will teach you how to give your children the greatest gift of all....roots and wings.
